McCaughey Sheep Reproduction Research Initiative

A four year project (2018 – 2021) being carried out by the University of Sydney. The project aims to overcome multiple threats faced by the Australian sheep industry, including a decline in the efficacy of artificial insemination and embryo transfer; no access to modern breeding tools such as “sexed semen” and a lack of modern tools to monitor and benchmark reproductive performance at a local, regional and national level.
